I’ve been thinking a lot about gratitude this week. I’m busy preparing for a big show with Sylvaine School of Dance in October, working with some other fabulous dancers for Nisha Lall’s piece ‘Dance Evolution’ as part of ‘Chance To Dance’ on Saturday 13th July (http://chancetodance.org/) and moving forward on advertising my ballet class at Nycha Dance creations.
What strikes me is the number of people who give to help others. It sounds cheesy, I know, but I’m really enjoying working as part of a team for these projects. I’ve had some great help from one of my adult dancers with designing my advertising, I’ve met some wonderful people working on ‘Dance Evolution’ and I’m enjoying seeing my Sylvaine pupils and parents pull together to make what’s shaping up to be a great show. Life’s hectic, but productive.
To top it off, I got some lovely spontaneous feedback in class tonight from one of my adult dancers: ‘I could dance this all day’. We were working on a short adage to Gill Civil’s ‘Celtic Homeland’ (https://soundcloud.com/rotoruagill/celtic-homeland). This lovely comment really made me feel like all the hard work is worth it.
So in conclusion – THANK YOU to all those who are supporting me! I’m grateful!
